Password Recovery
If you have forgotten your password, you can reset it yourself:
- On the sign-in screen, enter your DEPT email address to proceed.
- When prompted to enter your password, select "Forgot password?" at the bottom of the password box.
- Follow the prompts to verify your identity using your backup email.
Account Lockouts
If you type the wrong password too many times, your account will temporarily lock to keep it safe.
- Wait it out: Your account will automatically unlock after 15 minutes.
- Unlock it now: If you don't want to wait, select "Unlock account?" at the bottom of the sign-in page and follow the instructions.
Lost your phone or completely locked out?
If you got a new phone, lost your authenticator device, or self-service reset isn't working, you won't be able to log in on your own. Since our internal IT service desk requires a login to access, please use one of these options:
- Ask your manager: Get in touch with your direct manager (via phone, personal text, or in person) and ask them to open an IT support ticket on your behalf to reset your MFA.
- Visit the office: If you are near a DEPT office hub, bring your laptop or a valid photo ID to the local IT support desk for an in-person reset.
A quick note on security: To protect our team and network from identity theft, the IT team cannot accept password or MFA reset requests sent from personal email addresses. Requests must come through your manager or be verified in person.
